History of Ashton Cigars

Ashton cigars are counted among the world’s finest cigar brands. Their cigars are handcrafted in the Fuente family’s Tabaclera A. Fuente factory in the Dominican Republic. For more than 30 years, Ashton has been one of the top brands in the USA. Additionally, the cigars enjoy global acclaim and are sold in more than 60 countries.

Industry legend and veteran Robert Levin founded the brand in 1985. His collaboration with the renowned Fuente family, with over a century of experience with premium tobacco, speaks volumes of Levin and Ashton’s commitment to quality. Through the Levin-Fuente collaboration, iconic brands like Asthon Classic, Asthon Aged Maduro, Ashton VSG, and Ashton ESG, to name a few, saw the light and market.

Robert Levin’s roots are firmly placed in the cigar industry. Working in his father’s famous cigar shop, Holt’s Cigar Company in Philadelphia, during the 1950s and 1960s provided the foundation he needed to succeed in the cigar industry.
